Get GymTempo on iPhone

The App Store is the easiest way to get GymTempo on iPhone. Prefer the browser? Add the web app to your home screen in four steps - works fully offline.

There are two ways to run GymTempo on an iPhone: the native app from the App Store (recommended) or the web app added straight to your home screen from Safari. Both share the same account and data - pick whichever you prefer.

The native iOS app is the smoothest way to use GymTempo on iPhone - one-tap install, a home-screen icon, fullscreen by default, and offline logging built in.

Download on the App Store →

That’s it. Open it like any other app and sign in.

Prefer the browser? Install the web app

GymTempo is also a Progressive Web App, so you can install it straight from Safari - no App Store needed. After install it runs fullscreen, works offline, and behaves like a native app.

Here’s the whole flow in 30 seconds.

Four steps

  1. Open go.gymtempo.app in Safari. The Add to Home Screen install only works in Safari on iOS - Chrome and Firefox on iPhone can’t install web apps.
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen.”
  4. Tap “Add” in the top-right corner.

Done. The GymTempo icon now lives on your home screen. Tap it like any other app.

What you get either way

  • Fullscreen. No Safari address bar eating screen space mid-set.
  • Offline. Log sets in the basement gym, in the airplane, in a Faraday cage. It syncs when you’re back online.
  • Fast. Opens instantly. No splash screen, no loading spinner.

If anything doesn’t work, open an issue on GitHub - I read every one.
